Kiel Mead

Kiel Mead’s (he/him) career centers on the design community and the platforms he has shaped to highlight other designers’ creative output. In 2008, Kiel co-founded the American Design Club (AmDC) to encourage and promote the work of emerging designers by partnering with museums, retailers, and curators to create showcases for designers and the design process. Kiel is a graduate of Pratt Institute and has worked for companies such as Fab, and The Future Perfect. After having his own studio practice and coming back to the AmDC in 2014, the company formed into an agency, representing like-minded designers and makers. Now in its 12th year as a premier discovery point for retailers as well as an entry point for new and upcoming brands.
