Genia Blaser is a Brooklyn-based artist and public interest lawyer working in ink, acrylic, watercolor, and graphite. A lifelong travel painter, Genia started a daily watercolor practice in 2017. Her daily practice has expanded beyond watercolor to include acrylic and ink paintings and drawings. Genia’s style has been described as whimsical and warm, evoking calm and joy from viewers. She regularly does commissions of pets, buildings or street scenes, and people.

Genia has attended art workshops in Italy and life drawing classes at the Art Students League of New York. She had pieces shown in the League’s 2024 and 2025 Student Salon shows. In 2024 she participated in the Weekend Retreat Residency Program at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park. In 2025, Genia spent two weeks as an art instructor on a cruise ship in New Zealand and Australia.

Genia is a member of the New York Handmade Collective. Her cards are sold at The Analog Stationer, Books Are Magic, Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, luna la mer, and James Weir Floral Co., as well as online on Etsy and via direct inquiries. She regularly teaches line drawing and watercolor workshops, sharing her passion for creativity and expression with students of all levels.
