After attending New York City’s Fashion Institute Of Technology, Martha began her professional career as a textile surface designer and color stylist for the home furnishing industry.

Some years later she started a business in fashion, with a lingerie/ loungewear line- Maskara Coterie. During this time I developed a character logo to represent the collection.

The logo became the basis for the idea of a concept character script and storyline for Meow Cleeva® the character.

Since then the art of Meow Cleeva® has been evolving, taking many forms from fashion sketches to animation to paintings to storyboards and book illustrations; Accessories and apparel. And now as products for home and furnishing decor, circling back to the beginning.
