Perlita

Perlita is a Brooklyn-based brand creating handmade necklaces for dogs, designed for everyday wear—from the stoop to the park and everywhere in between. Each piece is made using non-toxic silicone beads and stainless steel hardware, balancing durability with a clean, design-forward look.

We focus on thoughtful color combinations and simple, well-made construction. While we offer a range of preset colorways, a big part of Perlita is customization—customers can choose their own colors and we make each necklace to fit their dog on the spot. The goal is to create something that feels personal, functional, and easy to wear.

Perlita started as a small, hands-on project and continues to be produced in small batches. We’re interested in building something that feels local and community-driven, shaped by the people and dogs we meet. Rather than a traditional retail setup, we approach it more as an interactive experience—inviting people to engage with the materials, explore combinations, and leave with something made specifically for their dog.

Based in Fort Greene, Perlita is inspired by the neighborhood’s mix of daily routines—park walks, stoop hangs, and casual interactions between neighbors and their dogs. Our presence at markets reflects that: simple, approachable, and rooted in the community.
