VVORK VVORK VVORK
We are a New York based textile practice working across art, clothing, and DIY needlepoint kits. Rooted in feminist craft traditions, our work centers on slow, tactile processes such as embroidery, stitching, and textile collage. We create needlepoint kits that transform these methods into participatory objects, inviting people to engage directly with making. Each kit is thoughtfully designed and produced with attention to material, symbolism, and form, offering an alternative to fast, disposable culture through sustained, hands-on experience.
The studio was founded by an artist with a background in graphic design and textile based practices, informed in part by early influences, including her mother’s collection of rice bags. What began as a personal exploration of repetition, labor, and cultural symbolism evolved into a broader practice that moves between one of a kind artworks, wearable pieces, and accessible kits. Drawing on imagery connected to cycles, landscape, and political memory, the work recontextualizes traditional motifs as a contemporary visual language.
Our mission is to reclaim craft as both a material and cultural practice. We focus on small batch production and emphasize process as much as outcome, positioning making as a form of care, resistance, and connection. What distinguishes our work is the integration of conceptual depth with accessibility, bridging fine art, design, and everyday participation through textiles.
