AM DeBrincat

I’m AM DeBrincat (she/her), a Brooklyn-based artist making joyful ceramics for a complicated world. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, went to college in Eugene, Oregon and Sevilla, Spain, and earned my MFA from Parsons the New School for Design in New York City. I happily worked as a professional painter for many years before falling head-over-heels for the sensuality and playfulness of clay.

I have a passion for adventure, learning, and the ongoing project of embracing life to the fullest. I embed my love and joy into each piece of ceramics I create. I hope as my work travels out into the world, my joie de vivre will radiate from my work and make others feel joyful too.

I’m proud to be a part of the amazing community that exists here in New York City. A portion of all sales are donated to Books Through Bars NYC, a volunteer-run nonprofit that sends free, donated books to incarcerated people across the nation.
