Lisa Jakobsberg Ceramics
Lisa Jakobsberg Ceramics is based in Brooklyn, NY and specializes in creating one-of-a-kind, functional ceramic pieces. Lisa’s work blends modern aesthetics with vibrant colors, intricate Sgraffito etching, and hand-painted glaze designs.
Her designs are deeply inspired by extensive worldwide travels, particularly in South America and Mexico, where she draws from the art, culture, and vibrant traditions she encounters. Each piece is entirely handmade, resulting in contemporary tableware that is one-of-a-kind as well as practical.
Lisa’s journey into ceramics began in the 1990s, when she first learned wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques at Greenwich House Pottery in New York’s West Village. Initially a creative outlet alongside a full-time career, pottery evolved into a passion that would ultimately shape her future.
Today, Lisa is a full-time ceramicist and pottery wheel teacher. She regularly collaborates with clients to design and create artful tableware and personalized gifts.
What sets Lisa Jakobsberg Ceramics apart is the uniqueness of each piece, crafted with care and infused with personal stories and global influences.
