Mariposa Beadworks

I started making beaded jewelry in Minnesota about 30 years ago, and sold at pop-up markets. I also had my jewelry in museum galleries mostly outstate MN and in Wisconsin. I came to New York in 2021, and explored ways to find markets. Here, in New York, I have found many outlets to vend and have expanded my product line, oft times at a customer’s suggestion. I do commission pieces upon request for customers - both who have found my Etsy site and from talking with customers at markets.

Who are my customers? I have tried to narrow it down, but then I am thrown off by who buys my jewelry. Mostly women, in a range of ages, occasionally men. My customer is someone who appreciates what it takes to make a piece of jewelry or is a maker themselves. My customers appreciate the time it takes to make my jewelry and the skill that I have developed over the years.
