Apryl Bruce is the founder and creative behind The Printing Block. , The Printing Block, a Brooklyn-based clothing company that began in 2020, explores and celebrates African American culture and history. Through block printing, The Printing Block highlights cultural icons and experiences. This nontraditional use separates her work from most who engage in this practice. Expanding her collection with original drawings, she uses her talent to teach herself and others about the rich history of those who came before her. It’s The Printing Block’s mission to record, celebrate, and teach Black History and experience.
