Dersh Feather and Trading Corp. is a fifth-generation, family-owned feather dealership based in the Garment District, founded in 1918 by Shalom Dershowitz’s great-great-grandfather. Now led by Shalom Dershowitz as President and owner, the company is the last dedicated feather dealer remaining in NYC’s Garment District — a distinction earned through over a century of continuous operation in the neighborhood that once housed dozens of competitors.

Dersh Feather supplies a wide range of feather products — including ostrich, marabou, and other specialty plumes — to a diverse client base spanning Broadway and theatrical costume production, high fashion, film and television, industrial manufacturing, and direct-to-consumer customers. The company sources internationally, working with long-standing supplier relationships, and prides itself on the depth of product knowledge and reliability that comes from five generations of specialization in a single trade.
