Imperfect Perfection by Julie

I create a variety of fused glass pieces, including jewelry, votive tea lights, trinket dishes, and other small things for the home. Each piece is one of a kind, made from a collage of glass that’s fired in a kiln until it melts together and becomes something new.

I came to fused glass as a creative outlet and pretty quickly got hooked. I like that I don’t have complete control. Each piece shifts a bit in the kiln and ends up with its own look and personality.

My work is inspired by color, the seasons, and the idea that everyday objects can be both useful and feel a little special.

The name Imperfect Perfection reflects that. The “flaws” are part of what give each piece character and beauty. No two are exactly alike, and that’s the point. Each one has its own personality and its own story.
