Made In Jewelry

Made In Jewelry is a handcrafted line based on cast objects found through voyage and exploration. Each molded original in my collections has been found on one of my sourcing trips throughout Central and South America. I search in nature, at artisan and food markets and antique stores. Some of the originals I’ve cast have included: fossils, iguana feet, scorpions, sea urchins and starfish, to name a few. The pieces are cast in solid brass, then deconstructed or reconstructed into new jewelry components. The casting is done in a small family owned casting house in the NYC jewelry district. The rest of the process is done by me, by hand, including despruing, soldering, fabrication, stone setting, polishing and assembly. All materials and findings are ethically sourced from reputable, mainly US, suppliers.
