Raw Meat & Repair Co. is a Brooklyn-based specialty atelier offering expert repair, restoration, alteration, and customisation for denim, leather, waxed cotton, and other heritage garments. Our services include sashiko and invisible mending, reweaving, crotch reinforcement, Union Special chain-stitch hemming, tapering and resizing, leather reconditioning, custom leatherwork, and professional cleaning and rewaxing of waxed-cotton outerwear. We serve individuals, collectors, fashion professionals, and brands that value quality craftsmanship and want to preserve the garments they already own.

Founder Raffael Flores-Contreras established the company in 2022 after more than 25 years in the fashion and denim industries, working with respected names including Jean Shop, 3x1, and Belstaff. Drawing on this experience—and supported by highly skilled artisans with decades of specialised knowledge—he created Raw Meat & Repair Co. to make professional garment restoration more accessible while preserving traditional repair techniques that are increasingly hard to find.

Our mission is simple: Repair, Don’t Replace. What makes us unique is our ability to combine old-world craftsmanship, creative problem-solving, and modern customer service to transform damaged or worn garments into stronger, more personal versions of themselves.
