City Hive Honey
City Hive Honey produces small-batch, raw honey harvested from rooftop hives beside Central Park. What began as a personal beekeeping project by founder Luke Cohen soon grew into a local favorite as friends and neighbors discovered the depth and purity of urban honey. Our bees forage across Central Park and the Upper West Side, drawing nectar from linden, tulip, and black locust trees, as well as wildflowers and rooftop gardens, creating unique, seasonal honey that reflects New York City’s rich urban biodiversity.
Our mission is to produce pure, sustainable honey while supporting healthier pollinator populations in the heart of the city. Every jar is hand-harvested, never heated or ultra-filtered, and packaged in reusable glass jars to preserve its natural enzymes, antioxidants, and flavor. We believe in transparency, sustainability, and craftsmanship over mass production, values that ensure our honey retains the character and integrity nature intended.
City Hive Honey’s customers are neighbors, local food enthusiasts, and anyone who values authenticity and quality. What makes our honey truly unique is its origin: bees foraging in a pesticide-free urban environment, producing honey that’s not only flavorful but remarkably clean. By choosing City Hive Honey, customers are supporting local ecology, sustainable beekeeping, and the vibrant connection between nature and city life.
